On
October 31, 2023, Shanghai SC Shipping Co., Ltd. (SC Shipping) took delivery of 'YUE DAN,' the third 7,200
DWT chemical tanker in a series built with Wuchang Shipbuilding Industry Group
Co., Ltd (Wuchang Shipbuilding).
The
handover ceremony unfolded in Shanghai, where Ms. Si Liang, Deputy General
Manager of SC Shipping, and Mr. Wang Yueshan, Deputy Director of Wuchang
Shipbuilding's Operation Division, affixed their signatures to the delivery
documents.
YUE
DAN is the third vessel in SC Shipping's fleet of new 7,200 DWT chemical
tankers constructed through a dynamic collaboration with Wuchang Shipbuilding. Capable
of world-wide navigation, this duplex stainless steel vessel is classed by the
China Classification Society and designed by the Shanghai Merchant Ship Design
and Research Institute. Its series predecessor, WU TONG, has already earned a
distinguished spot in the “Significant Ships of 2021” by the
Royal Institution of Naval Architects.
At
