The Company regularly accepts the compliance inspection and system audit with respect of anti-pollution of the ships undertaken by internationally renowned classification societies and other third-party organizations. Meanwhile, under the guidance of ISO14001 standards, the Company has established and implemented an environmental management system, and passed the internal and external audit on environmental management system, ensuring that the ship operation meets the requirements of environmental protection.
The Company has formulated a set of procedures and contingency plans for environmental protection including Environmental Factor Assessment and Operation Control Procedures, Environmental Protection Management Procedures, Emergency Instructions for Fuel Oil Leakage, etc., and defined the responsibilities of each department and post both onshore and onboard by means of the systemization.
All ships in our fleet are equipped with oil-water separators, sewage treatment plant, incinerators and other anti-pollution devices, and are progressively equipped with ballast water treatment equipment. In order to prevent air pollution from the ships, the Company uses low sulfur fuel oil for the ships in compliance with relevant regulations on Sulphur Emission Control Area (SECA). The Company requires the employees to strictly comply with the requirements on safety management system and anti-pollution operation instructions, to ensure the effective operation of the equipment and fulfill their commitments to protecting the marine environment. When building new ships, the Company attaches great importance to environmental protection standards and strives to build a green, clean and environment-friendly fleet.
The design, manufacturing and certification of tank containers of the Company meet relevant requirements of ASME, IMDG, ADR/RID and other international codes. During operation, the statutory surveys are conducted by internationally recognized inspection and accreditation institutions (LR/BV), and the overall condition of the tanks is monitored in accordance with the international standards of ITCO.
At the same time, the cargo loading efficiency of our tank containers is high, and the tank itself can be separated from the car body. In that way, both road transport and multimodal transport are applicable. The loss by residue in discharging is lesser. The tank containers are equipped with energy-saving thermal insulation layer, making them convenient to use, flexible and efficient, reducing the carbon footprint.
The Company's construction projects have all gone through environmental impact assessment and have been accepted in accordance with relevant laws and regulations. The Company has established its own environmental management system under the guidance of ISO14001, and has passed the internal and external audit on environmental management system. The Company has set up tail gas treatment devices, solid waste storage sites, sewage collection pools, rainwater and sewage diversion and plant greening strictly in compliance with the standards. The Company strictly implements the organized and standard discharge, unorganized and pollution-free discharge. In the meantime, the Company takes scientific management measures to effectively reduce the consumption of power, gas, water and other resources, and continuously improve environmental protection and energy conservation management.
The Company has published other relevant environmental information (pollution discharge information, operation of pollution prevention facilities, environmental impact assessment, emergency response plan for environmental emergencies, and environmental self-detection plan on the national pollution discharge license information management platform according to the requirements of the pollution discharge license.
