On
the morning of September 19th, our 3rd and 4th 7200 DWT chemical tankers, built
by Wuchang Shipbuilding Industry Group, departed the shipyard and hit the water
respectively. Liu Renjie, the director of the ship supervision department of
our Chemical Tanker BU and the on-site supervision team, along with Tian Jun, a
member of the party committee and deputy general manager of Wuchang
Shipbuilding, and representatives from other relevant units, attended the handover
and undocking ceremonies.
The third 7,200 DWT chemical tanker left the shipyard
Thanks to the collaborative
efforts of the shipbuilders and our inspectors, the construction cycle of the
3rd chemical tanker was significantly shortened, and various milestones such as
generator vehicle commissioning, hydraulic system installation, leak test, ship
inclining test, etc. were accomplished in succession, all within a trial
docking duration of fewer than two months. Going forward, the project team will
strive to meet the delivery deadline, proactively carry out ship testing and
trial sailing work, and ensure that the chemical tanker is delivered on
schedule with high quality.
The fourth 7,200 DWT chemical tanker hits the water
Since the initiation of the construction of the fourth vessel, Wuchang Shipbuilding has steered the project with high regard for its progression and quality. Building on the valuable experience of similar projects, it has focused on enhancing efficiency and reducing cycle time, and actively promoted the adoption of Modeling 2.0. As of now, 57 out of 69 compartments of this vessel have been leak-tested and inspected, and 39 out of them have been strength-tested and inspected. All ballast tanks and compartments involving outer plates have been cleared, leak-tested and inspected. The pipeline installation completion rate is 100%, and 45 out of 61 pipeline systems have been installed and inspected.
It is reported that this series of vessels are “world-wide” duplex stainless steel chemical tankers, which can load IMO type II and III liquid bulk chemicals. They are classed by the China Classification Society (CCS) and developed by the Shanghai Merchant Ship Design & Research Institute (SDARI) as a high-efficiency, energy-saving, eco-friendly, and safe stainless steel liquid chemical tanker with technical specifications reaching international advanced standards.
As the country celebrates its 74th anniversary and the Mid-Autumn Festival, we at Gentco Logistics are proud to present our double vessel achievement as a tribute to the nation and a blessing to the festive occasion. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude and warm congratulations to all members of Junzheng Group, and wish you all a happy reunion and a smooth sailing ahead!
