Every ocean-going vessel is a floating haven upon the vast sea—carrying the glory of time and witnessing the growth of an industry. On July 29th, 2026, SC GUOJI, which has sailed with SC Shipping through twenty years of wind and tide, officially retired from service, bringing her remarkable ocean-going voyage to a close.
The retirement of SC GUOJI is part of SC Shipping's strategic initiative to systematically phase out aging vessels and accelerate the deployment of next-generation green and intelligent vessels.
Across two decades of rising and falling tides, through tens of thousands of nautical miles cutting through waves, SC GUOJI plied the major shipping routes of the Far East, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East, carrying the vital task of transporting petrochemical products across borders—day after day, across the boundless blue. From the first light of dawn to the brilliance of starry nights, from calm seas to raging storms, she pressed steadily onward, completing every mission with an impeccable record of zero major safety incidents.
Forged over twenty years, this veteran vessel has been both a witness to the rise of China's chemical shipping industry and a living embodiment of SC Shipping's enduring commitment to maritime transportation. She carries the hard work and dedication of seafarers one generation after another, as well as the meticulous operation and maintenance and the coordinated efforts of all shore-based departments.
