Work Safety Month | Moving Forward Together, Safeguarding Safety for All

Date:2026-07-14

To advance the 25th National Work Safety Month campaign, Gentco Logistics has launched a comprehensive series of Work Safety Month initiatives, closely centering on the theme "Everyone Cares about Safety, Everyone Knows Emergency Response — Identify and Address Risks and Hazards." The company's three business pillars — chemical tanker, tank container, and terminal & tank storage — are synergizing targeted actions to drive safety accountability across the board and continuously strengthen the safety management foundation for the full chain of hazardous chemical storage, maritime transportation, and land-based transportation.

Chemical Tanker Business

Focus on the Frontline: Enhance Ship-Shore Safety Foundation

Focused on key aspects of vessel transport safety, the chemical tanker business, coordinating shore-based and shipboard efforts, has organized a series of diverse and substantive activities. This has created a working environment where leadership and frontline staff work in tandem to advance safety together, embedding the philosophy that "everyone shares safety responsibility, and everyone takes part in risk prevention" deep into the organization.

During Work Safety Month, the chemical tanker business has rolled out three major initiatives — safety awareness education, risk and hazard identification, and emergency response capability building. Shore-based personnel and all crew members have been engaged in a series of activities including specialized training sessions, hazard case studies, safety knowledge campaigns, targeted inspections, self-assessments and corrective actions, as well as practical emergency drills. These efforts have enabled a comprehensive identification of safety risks across both vessels and shore operations, reinforced the foundation of safety management, and enhanced safety awareness, risk prevention capabilities, and emergency response readiness of all personnel — solidifying the safety defense line for vessel transportation.

Tank Container Business

Strengthen Preparedness Through Practice: Tank Container Leak Emergency Drill

The tank container business, in conjunction with its truck fleet suppliers, organized a multi-party collaborative emergency drill for hazardous chemical transportation.

The drill simulated a leakage scenario during tank container transportation, with on-site emergency response and information reporting completed promptly.

All participating units coordinated seamlessly to achieve an entire emergency response loop from the detection of the incident to the completion of containment and remediation.

After the drill, a systematic review was conducted, and improvement items were identified in wind direction assessment, contaminated protective material handling, alarm and communication, and information reporting protocols.

This joint drill represents a key initiative of the Tank Container Business Unit’s Work Safety Month activities. Going forward, the tank container business will continue to deepen its multi-party collaboration mechanisms by establishing regular and systematic emergency drills as standard practice to further strengthen emergency response capabilities and on-site handling skills among the personnel providing a solid foundation for building a safer and more efficient tank container logistics system.

Terminal and Tank Storage Business

Legal Education Through Case Studies: Emergency Drills and Competitions Hand in Hand

On June 5th, Lianyungang Terminal and Tank Storage Business held the opening ceremony for its Work Safety Month campaign.

During the Work Safety Month, the heads of the terminal and storage business led safety awareness and legal education sessions with real-case analysis, reaffirming the safety red lines and standards. All employees signed a safety commitment pledge. A series of emergency drills were conducted, along with a safety knowledge competition, to enhance awareness through learning and sharpen response capabilities through practicing, which have fully strengthened employees' safety awareness, emergency response skills, and collaborative operational capabilities.

Work safety is a journey with no end — it has a starting point but no finish line. Gentco Logistics will take this Work Safety Month as an opportunity to continue innovating its safety awareness education approaches, and to institutionalize hazard identification, emergency drills, skills training, and knowledge competitions as regular practices. By embedding safety awareness into both the mindset and the action, and by anchoring safety responsibilities in every position and every link of operations, the Company works to build a solid safety foundation to support its high-quality development.
