The Construction of Gentco Shipping 7200 dwt Stainless Steel Chemical Tanker No.4 Was Kicked Off in Wuchang Shipbuilding Yard

On 27 October 2022, the 7,200 dwt stainless steel chemical tanker project of Shanghai Gentco Shipping Co., Ltd. to be built by CSSC Wuchang Shipbuilding Industry had the first steel cut in Wuchang Shipbuilding Shuangliu HQ.


Representatives of Shanghai Gentco Shipping Co., Ltd. and CCS Wuhan Branch as well as the personnel in charge of the Wuchang Shipbuilding project attended the steel cutting ceremony. Mr. Hu Buwei, the onsite project construction manager of Gentco Shipping, ignited the first steel cutting  for this project.



The first two 7,200 dwt stainless steel chemical tankers Wutong and Mumian, previously ordered by Gentco Shipbuilding, were delivered in October 2021 and March 2022 respectively, of which Wutong has been successfully listed in the 2021 World Directory of Famous Ships published by the Royal Institution of Naval Architects.



Based on the successful cooperation and mutual trust, the two sides joined hands again to build two 7,200 dwt stainless steel chemical tankers, and the construction of No.3 and No.4 tankers haven kicked off.
