Date:2025-12-02

Recently, the China Shipowners' Association officially issued the group standard Requirements for the Inspection of the Bulk Liquid Chemical Carriers (T/CHNSA001-2025). Scheduled to take effect on January 1st, 2026, this standard clarifies the basic principles, standardized processes, specific inspection contents and application guidelines for inspection results to be followed in the inspection of bulk liquid chemical carriers. It is mainly applicable to various inspections and related management work of domestic bulk liquid chemical carriers in China, providing a well-standardized technical basis for the safety management of the industry.

As one of the core drafting entities of this standard, Shanghai SC Shipping participated in the full-cycle research, drafting and revision of the standard, marking the company's first-ever engagement in formulating an industry standard. Leveraging the Shanghai Municipal Standardization Pilot Project - "Liquid Cargo Carriers Service Standardization Pilot" undertaken in 2023, the company systematically sorted out and summarized its years of practical experience accumulated in the field of bulk chemical vessel inspection services. This has rendered the content of the standard more aligned with the actual operational needs of the industry, enhanced its practicality and guiding value, and provided the industry with a replicable standardized working model and proven experience.

The release of Requirements for the Inspection of the Bulk Liquid Chemical Carriers is of great significance for elevating the safety management level of domestic waterborne transport of liquid chemicals in China and mitigating operational risks. By participating in the standard formulation, SC SHIPPING has demonstrated its industry-leading role in professional services and technical expertise.

As a key representative of shipping enterprises on the drafting panel for this group standard, Shanghai SC Shipping will continue to actively engage in relevant domestic and international standardization work and industry exchanges through professional practices. It will strive to translate frontline experience and technological innovation into shared assets for the industry, and continuously contribute "Junzheng Wisdom" and "Junzheng Strength" to promoting the high-quality development of the bulk liquid chemical transport sector and ensuring the stability of the industrial and supply chains.
